The Pediatric Therapy staff (OT and SLP) works in combination with a Staff of Occupational Therapists working in Hand Therapy (7) and an Orthopedic Physical Therapist. We are a tight-knit and cohesive team, often collaberating on more complicated cases.
The Role
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our interdisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality, evidence-based occupational therapy services to children from birth to 18 years old. You will use your expertise to help children develop the skills needed to participate in daily activities and thrive in their home, school, and community environments.
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive evaluations: Assess motor, sensory, cognitive, and social-emotional skills to identify developmental needs.
Develop individualized treatment plans: Create personalized, engaging, and play-based interventions tailored to each child's unique goals and strengths.
Provide direct therapy services: Deliver skilled occupational therapy to address fine motor coordination, sensory processing, self-care tasks, and visual-motor skills.
Collaborate with families and caregivers: Educate and guide families on therapeutic strategies to promote the carryover of skills into the home environment.
Work with a team: Partner with other therapists (Speech-Language Pathologists, Physical Therapists, and Occupational Hand Therapists), Pediatric Medical Staff and Educators to ensure a holistic approach to a child's care.
Maintain accurate documentation: Utilize WebPT documentation tools to manage case notes, track progress, and generate comprehensive reports efficiently.
Stay current with best practices: Participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay abreast of the latest research and innovative therapy techniques.Benefits

Requirements
Qualifications
Master's or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
Active and unrestricted Occupational Therapist (OT) license in the state of Oregon.
Experience or Fieldwork II working with the pediatric population is preferred.
A strong understanding of child development and a variety of pediatric diagnoses.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for working with children, families, and team members.
Demonstrates strong time-management and organizational skills.
