Position Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Occupational Therapist to join our growing team focused on early intervention (ages 0-5). The ideal candidate will be dedicated to improving the lives of young children with various developmental needs and will work one-on-one with each child and their primary caregivers to provide high-quality, individualized care. This is a contractor position requiring a full-time caseload commitment of 21 or more treatment sessions per week. You will provide services to children under the age of 5 in their natural setting (i.e. home, daycare, or possibly a community setting like a playground or library), and travel in between each session to the next child's location. You will get to set your own schedule and choose your own travel zone(s), meaning you can work around your own children's daycare/school hours, or wanting to be at home for lunch every day, or having a workout at a certain time of day, etc.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations using age-appropriate standardized and non-standardized assessments for children 0-5 years old
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans addressing sensory processing, fine/gross motor skills, feeding, play skills, and developmental milestones
- Provide family/caregiver education and home program development to support carryover of skills
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation according to practice standards and insurance requirements
- Collaborate with other professionals (SLPs, PTs, educators, Early Intervention Service Coordinators etc.) for integrated early intervention care
- Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities
- Build positive relationships with young children and their families
Qualifications
- Master's or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current North Carolina OT licensure or eligibility for licensure
- Experience working with children ages 0-5 preferred, or within the pediatric population, for at least one year. New graduates with extended internships in pediatric placements also welcome to apply.
- Knowledge of early childhood development, sensory integration, and evidence-based pediatric interventions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with both children and caregivers
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Compassionate approach to working with young children and families
- Must have current NC Driver's license, auto insurance, and your own car

Salary
$70,000-100,000 per year (1099 position) with hourly rate of $65-70.
21+ treatment sessions per week.
